Thermomix Menu Plan – February 27

February 26, 2012 by Sarah 2 Comments

I think I have to stop putting desserts on my menu plan – somehow I’ve jinxed them! It seems that each time I put a dessert on the plan, it gets shunted off again in the evening rush. Might have to just roll with the punches on that one… Although normally, T requests a banana or some other piece of fruit and yoghurt. I’m all too happy to oblige with this easy request by the end of the day!
So here is this week’s dessert-free menu plan!

Monday
breakfast: CADA with sheep’s milk yoghurt plus orange and ginger juice
lunch: okonomiyaki (hopefully baked, not fried) and cherry tomatoes
dinner: chicken drumsticks with roasted veg and smoky tomato sauce
essentials: cashew milk, veg stock

Tuesday
breakfast: banana ‘ice cream’ smoothies
lunch: okonomiyaki with veggie sticks and cherry tomatoes
dinner: mushroom risotto cakes with steamed asparagus and corn on the cob
essentials: bread

Wednesday
breakfast: green smoothies with boiled eggs
lunch: hommus with lavosh and veggie dippers
dinner: smoked whole fish with carrot and fennel salad
essentials: spinach-mint triangles

Thursday
breakfast: CADA with sheep’s milk yoghurt and fresh juice
lunch: spinach-mint triangle plus veggie sticks and hommus for T; leftover salad for me
dinner: slow-cooked lamb with preserved lemon and dates, plus beetroot salad

Friday
breakfast: CADA with sheep’s milk yoghurt and green smoothies
lunch: okonomiyaki with veggie sticks
dinner: lentil bolognese and polenta chippies

Saturday
breakfast: banana ‘ice cream’ smoothies and fresh fruit
lunch: salami and cheese plate with veggie sticks
dinner: fish en papillote with steamed veg and coconut-pine needle sauce

Sunday
breakfast: scrambled eggs and bacon
lunch: leftovers (if no leftovers, I’ll whip up a salad)
dinner: chickpea curry with mock rice and garlic naan

And now, I am in desperate need of some sleep. Goodnight all, and happy cooking! 🙂

Sounds good Sarah! I’ve never tried preserved lemon, I bet it’s delicious with lamb! Must try that…

Thanks Jo! I am absolutely in love with preserved lemons… I made a chicken dish with them last week too, and would have happily eaten nothing but the preserved lemons! 🙂
