Well, Thanksgiving was a complete success! Everything was delicious, and cooked to perfection. There is so much I am thankful for, but I am always thankful for the opportunity to share a delicious meal with some fabulous friends.
I was entirely too exhausted to think about blogging after cooking all weekend! And today we have spent the whole day with Aunty Mezzles, celebrating her birthday by taking her to the powerhouse museum to see the HARRY POTTER EXHIBIT!!! Clearly, I was (and still am) very excited about this. It was fantastic.
But I finally have a moment, so here is this week’s menu plan!
Monday:
dinner: out to celebrate my sister’s birthday
Tuesday:
fridge/pantry essentials: GF buckwheat bread
dinner: Beef fillet with beetroot and goat’s cheese dressing
Wednesday:
fridge/pantry essentials: sweet chilli sauce, vanilla almond biscotti
dinner: asparagus tart
Thursday:
Off to Great-Nanna’s house to help make Christmas Chutney for the whole family
dinner: leftovers from freezer
Friday:
snacks/treats: cinnamon swirl pull-apart brioche
dinner: spinach, kale, pasta and cheese ‘spouffle’
Saturday:
dinner: sweet potato and peanut gratin
Sunday:
dinner: roast spatchcock with roasted potato chips
It’s a pretty lazy week on the cooking front, after the madness of this weekend. I am so okay with that, but honestly things will probably get added in on a whim anyway.
Hopefully once the interent month starts over again in a few days, I will post a couple of my yummy Thanksgiving recipes (these don’t need to be restricted to Thanksgiving , thankfully!). I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and have done a bit of menu planning for this week!

Yum yum yum!!! Love your menu! I have never heard of a ‘spouffle’ – what is it?
Jo 🙂

Hi Jo! The spouffle is a recipe I haven’t tried yet, from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s new cookbook (River Cottage Veg Everyday). It’s basically a souffle with pasta added in, to make it a heartier vegetarian meal. 🙂
