Thermomix Menu Plans – 14th of November

November 14, 2011 by Sarah 3 Comments

Welcome to the first week of menu plans! Jo over at Quirky Cooking has come up with a fantastic idea to link up menu plans each week. Everyone participating will link to their menu plans on Jo’s blog, so head on over there to check out all the menu plans for this week! Use them as inspiration for your own meals and as motivation to menu plan yourself.

Here’s my menu plan for the week:

Monday:
snacks: Cinnamon and Cardamom Buns (The dough is rising as we speak – these freeze wonderfully, so you can pull one out and stick it in a lunchbox to defrost ready for morning tea or lunch!)
pantry/fridge essentials: dill pickles, mango jam
dinner: Jo’s Grandma’s Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic (but I’ll halve the recipe, so only 20 cloves of garlic!)

Tuesday:
pantry/fridge essentials: mustard, toasted muesli
dinner: Bean and corn mexican stew with homemade pita bread

Wednesday:
dinner: leftovers (from the freezer)
pantry/fridge essentials: coconut milk

Thursday:
dinner: coconut salmon

Friday:
snacks: GF choc cake
lunch: broad bean dip, leftover pita bread, salami, veggie sticks
dinner: sweet potato and cheese ravioli

Saturday:
dinner: lemon and dill risotto cakes

Sunday:
snacks: burfi
dinner: lamb and apricot “tagine”

Looks like I have a busy week ahead of me! I hope it inspires people to get menu planning and to cook delicious but healthy (and additive free!) meals.
Happy Monday! 🙂

Hi Brooke and Nicky! Welcome to my blog! 🙂

Brooke – I haven’t actually made the lemon and dill risotto cake recipe before, but it looks good! Keep an eye out for a post about them later in the week.

Nicky – I do make the dill pickles. We are additive free and for the most part package free, because with labelling loopholes you just never know for sure what you’re eating. I cold-pack the jars and make the brine in the TM. I was actually going to post the recipe and detailed method info tonight, but my internet has been down so for now I’m making do with my phone. Hopefully I can post the recipe tomorrow!
