Thermomix Menu Plan – December 19

December 18, 2011 by Sarah 1 Comment

Christmas is almost upon us! Everyone is so busy at this wonderful time of year, it becomes even more important and beneficial to plan your menu. No one wants to be dashing to the shops every day of the week when they have so much to do. And with the indulgence of Christmas lunch/dinner looming, it becomes ever more important to menu plan for the sake of your health. Because, let’s face it, we all accomplish more when we’re well-fed.

So without further ado (because I know you all have more pressing things to do than read my ranty, long-winded posts), here is this week’s menu plan! Remember to head over to Quirky Cooking to check out a few more Christmas Menu Plans.

Monday:
breakfast: CADA with banana ‘ice cream’ smoothies (recipe coming once I remember to take a photo – there’s actually no ice cream involved)
lunch: vegetarian empanadas
dinner: bean and vegetable goulash with spaetzle and home-grown cos lettuce

Tuesday:
breakfast: leftover CADA and freshly-whizzed mango, orange and ginger juice
essentials: biscotti
dinner: fish en papillote with buttered tasmanian sea grass

Wednesday:
essentials: jams, chutneys, rhubarb and vanilla freezer puree, toast from TM app
dinner: pumpkin stuffed with moroccan chickpeas and spinach

Thursday:
essentials: crispy bread, toasted nuts (stay tuned for a hopefully-successful experiment)
dinner: borscht

Friday:
dinner: octopus with garlic aioli and stir-fried veg

Saturday:
dinner: tomato, eggplant and bean pasta
dessert: plum bread and butter pudding

Sunday:
CHRISTMAS!!
Everyone brings something to our Christmas dinner. We’ll have ham (which I will sadly have to avoid), plenty of seafood, some sides, and some finger food. I think I might be responsible for some dips, finger food, salad… So easy in the thermomix. But I have yet to sort out what I will actually make – oops! Better get cracking!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a very merry Christmas! 🙂
